Senior Pastor: Jason Smith

Jason and Emily Smith moved to Salida with their three boys, Jack, Ben and Sam, and began pastoring the Salida Vineyard in September 2018. They moved from Mason, OH, a suburb of Cincinnati.  Jason has been a Vineyard pastor for 11 years, serving churches in Curtis, Nebraska, Mason, Ohio and Cincinnati, Ohio. Jason is a graduate of Denver Seminary and after 10+ years away from the state, it feels like finally coming home to be in Salida.  Emily is a registered nurse and works at the Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center.  Jack is in high school, Ben is in middle school, and Sam is in elementary school.

Associate Pastor: Scott Sailors

Scott and Marla Sailors moved to Salida from Kansas City in 2005, when Scott was hired as the Associate Pastor of the Salida Vineyard.  Scott served in that position for a few years and then Scott and Marla moved to Alamosa, Colorado to plant a Vineyard church there.  After a few years in Alamosa, they moved back to Salida and Scott rejoined the Salida Vineyard staff in 2019 serving as the Associate Pastor once again.  Scott has pastored in the Vineyard for 25 years, in the roles of Children's Pastor, Associate Pastor, Church Planter, and Senior Pastor.  He's thrilled to be a part of the Salida Vineyard team once again, and is looking forward to all that Jesus has for the Salida Vineyard in this next season.

Scott and Marla enjoy hiking, snowshoeing, camping, and Jeeping.  They also love being a part of the Salida Vineyard family and the larger Salida community.

Worship Pastor: Ellen Horarik

After years of volunteering on the worship team playing keyboard and singing, Ellen Horarik was hired in 2018 as the Worship Director. In the fall of 2019, Ellen was ordained as the Worship Pastor and also began serving on the board of elders. She is married to Ben Horarik and they have two sweet young daughters, Selah and Violet.

Board of Elders

In addition to the pastors, other longtime lay members of the church serve as financial, spiritual and practical advisors. The board meets monthly and seeks to help shape the identity and vision of the church and how the Salida Vineyard can best serve our community and world.
